Buganda Province’s incredible victory of the FUFA Drum championship

Buganda province beat Westnile 2-1 on aggregate to win the Fufa Drum’s  2018 – as it happened at Green Light stadium, the home of Westnile it ended in a (1-1) draw in the return leg after the first leg which went in the hands of Buganda at Bishops SS Mukono play ground with a 1-0 goal margin.

This being the inaugural FUFA Drum tournament final organized by FUFA  will be remembered for Vianne Sekajugo’s amazing goal and Buganda province’s brilliant performance.

We started by loosing our first game  at Masaka Recreation play ground in Masaka against Kigezi but we never lost hope. This has also been yielded by the  good cooperation among st Buganda Province team officials and players as well as good organisation”Chairman Kaweesa Andrew

At the final stage, Buganda had to face West Nile province which had eliminated Busoga province after a goalless draw on aggregate which took them to direct sport kicks in which the West Nile province won.

The final FUFA drum action was started in Mukono as Buganda hosted West Nile in the first leg of the double header final on the home and away basis.

Buganda secured the first leg win after Vianne Sekajjugo’s goal which came in during the last minutes of the game, giving Buganda 1-0 leading advantage which was so vital after drawing in the second leg of the final match which happened at the Green Light stadium in Arua.
