“Kayunga said that they will send us like 21 people, Mukono also promised and we also expect to have like 70 or 80 participants.” Said Ali.
For starters, the course was to cost 150000/- per participant but Diana Foundation boosted it with two Million shillings, and the cost was cut to 50000/- each and the founder of Diana Foundation today at Cooper Chimney Lugogo handed over a dumpy cheque to DFA vice chairman Kiwanuka Ali.
“As a District Woman member of Parliament, I saw it important to support this course, because I want youths to develop their talents with no huddle and as a foundation we shall continue supporting all the football programmes in Buikwe, because I am also the patron of Njeru FC” Hon. Diana Mutasingwa said.
Kawooya Abbey, the programme’s coordinator, and a former referee thanked Diana Foundation for giving them a hand and he confessed that the district has been having few referees and yet they play many games like 800 a year.
“This course will help us to add on the number of referees, the fact is we had few referees and yet we play many games, 15 or 20 referees can’t handle all those games, and the boost of two Million from Madam Diana Mutasingwa has done us good because now the participants will only pay the administration costs “
