Kajjansi suffer first defeat, Busula extends lead in Sezibwa

Katonga Group leaders Kajjansi United suffered their first loss in the Buganda Region League after falling to Nkambi Coffee by 1-0 in Masaka on Sunday.

The only strike that divided the two teams was scored by Kazibwe Julius

However, in the same group, both Synergy and Kiyinda Boys who are chasing Kajjansi United shared spoil in their respective matches during the weekend.

Synergy drew 0-0 with Kampala University Masaka while Kinda Boys settled for a 1-1 draw away against Busiro United. Kamulegeya John Paul scored for Busiro as well second leading top scorer Nsamba Patrick was on target for the visitors.

The games between Kakiri TC Vs Lukaya and Standard High Zzana FC against Nangabo Green Valley were not played. The BFA Executive will meet to decide the fate for the two games.

Meanwhile, Busula SC extended its lead in Sezibwa group after defeating Simba SC 3-1 on Sunday. Kaye Ezra Kizito (brace) and Kateregga Benardo were on target for Busula, Kimuli Robert pulled off the consolation for Simba SC. Busula maintained the lead with 33 points from 17 games.

Kampala University edged Lugazi Municipal by 1-0 in Luwero. The sole effort came from Muyomba Emanuel.

Nazario Sempa and Musisi Henry scored for Seeta United FC and Luweero United FC respectively during a 1-1 draw in Seeta.

Lugazi Nabugabo FC and Free Stars FC match ended in a barren draw in Lugazi.

Action resumes this Wednesday 13th March with two fixtures. Zirobwe Young hosting Uganda Martyrs SS FC in Zirobwe while Africa Polysack FC will also be at home in Bajjo against Kiwanga United.
